BARCODE PRINTERS

Barcode Printers for Warehouse, Manufacturing, and Fulfillment

Industrial, desktop, and mobile thermal printers from every major brand. Configured before shipment, supported throughout the lifecycle, and repaired when they break.

Configured before shipment

Repair and support included

Not all barcode printers are interchangeable. A desktop printer running 100 labels a day is a completely different machine than an industrial unit running 18 hours a shift. A 4×6 direct thermal shipping printer isn’t built for rack labels. The wrong printer for the workflow is a wasted $1,500 — or worse, an operation stuck mid-shift because the equipment was never matched to the job in the first place.

Conti Systems has been configuring and deploying barcode printers since 1993 — through every generation of Zebra, Honeywell, Datamax, SATO, and the rest. Our job is to spec the right printer to your workflow, not to push you toward whatever’s on the catalog page. We pre-configure before shipment so the printer works on day one. We match the ribbons and labels to the printer so consumables don’t fail. And we repair what we sell, so you’re not bouncing between vendors when something breaks.

PRINTER CATEGORIES

Types of Barcode Printers

Real challenges in multi-client logistics environments, solved with purpose-built barcode and labeling infrastructure.

Industrial printers

Built for continuous operation. High duty cycle, large media capacity, fast print speeds. Use cases: distribution centers, 3PL warehouses, manufacturing lines.

EXAMPLE MODELS
Zebra ZT411 / ZT421 / ZT600 series, Honeywell PM45 / PX940, Datamax I-Class, SATO CL4NX.

Desktop printers

Compact, lower-volume. Best for offices, shipping stations, and retail back-of-house. Use cases: shipping labels, light-volume labeling, returns processing.

EXAMPLE MODELS
Zebra ZD420 / ZD620, Honeywell PC42T / PC43d, TSC TX200

Mobile printers

Battery-powered, worn on a belt or vehicle-mounted. Best for receiving, dock work, asset tagging, and route delivery.

EXAMPLE MODELS
Zebra ZQ500 / ZQ600, Honeywell RP4, SATO PV3.

RFID printer-encoders

Print and encode RFID labels in-line. Required for any RFID deployment using printed smart labels rather than pre-encoded inlays.

EXAMPLE MODELS
Zebra ZT411-RFID, Honeywell PX940A.

BUYER’S GUIDE

How to Choose the Right Barcode Printer

STEP 01

Label volume per shift

We’re authorized distributors for the brands that matter. Most equipment we sell, we also repair — so you’re not bouncing vendors when something breaks. See our suppliers page for the full brand list.

STEP 02

Label size and substrate

4×6 shipping labels need a different printer than 2×1 product labels. Polyester labels in a paint booth need a different print engine than paper labels at a shipping station.

STEP 03

Environment

Warehouse temperature swings, dust, condensation, chemical exposure — all of it affects which printer survives. Cold storage and industrial environments need printers spec’d for them, not desktop units repurposed.

STEP 04

Integration

USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, applicator interfaces, WMS or ERP connectivity. The printer has to talk to the systems already in place.

THE CONTI VALUE PACK

What’s Included When You Buy From Conti

Three decades of supply-chain barcode experience, built into every label, printer, and service agreement we deliver.

01

Pre-configured before shipment
Label format, media size, network settings, ribbon spec, and WMS integration all set up before the box ships. The printer works on day one.

02

Matched ribbon and label inventory
We spec the consumables to the printer. The labels that ship with the printer fit, and the ribbon matches the substrate so prints don’t fail the first week.

03

Repair and parts coverage
In-house repair on every brand we sell. Same factory-trained technicians for warranty work and post-warranty repair.

04

Service agreement options
Predictable monthly cost, priority response, loaner equipment, and scheduled preventive maintenance for fleet deployments.

05

Lifecycle support
Trade-in and refurbishment at end of life. You’re not stuck disposing of a five-year-old printer fleet on your own.

VERSATILITY

Industries We Serve

Conti supplies barcode printers to 3PL and logistics operations, manufacturing plants, e-commerce fulfillment centers, cold storage warehouses, and distribution centers. Each industry stresses printers differently — cold storage needs heated print engines, manufacturing needs chemical-resistant builds, e-commerce needs continuous-duty shipping label production — and we spec accordingly.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you supply printers for cold storage or industrial environments?2026-05-27T09:51:08-06:00

Yes — printers configured for cold storage (heated print engines, condensation-protected enclosures) and industrial environments (dust-rated, chemical-resistant builds). We spec to the environment rather than defaulting to a general-purpose printer that won’t survive your conditions.

What’s the lead time on barcode printers?2026-05-27T09:50:53-06:00

In-stock printers ship same day or next business day. Custom-configured units typically 3–5 business days, depending on configuration complexity. Industrial printers and special-order models may take longer depending on manufacturer lead time — we tell you the realistic timeline at quote.

Do you offer printer leasing?2026-05-27T09:50:29-06:00

Yes — see our leasing and refurbished page. Predictable monthly cost, equipment plus repair coverage included, trade-up at term end.

Can you repair the printers you sell?2026-05-27T09:50:10-06:00

Yes — see our barcode printer repair page. We’re factory-trained on the brands we sell, and we keep common consumable parts (printheads, platens, gears) in stock for faster turnaround.

Do you sell ribbons and labels along with printers?2026-05-27T09:49:50-06:00

Yes — most customers buy printer + matched ribbons + labels together. We spec the consumables to the printer so they work the day you plug it in, and we set up standing orders for ongoing consumable supply.

Can you pre-configure printers before shipment?2026-05-27T09:49:27-06:00

Yes — label format, media size, network settings, ribbon spec, and WMS integration all set up before the box ships. Day-one productivity rather than three days of IT setup.

Do you sell Honeywell and Intermec printers?2026-05-27T09:49:05-06:00

Yes — Honeywell PM, PD, PX, and PC series including former Intermec models that Honeywell absorbed. Common in 3PL and manufacturing operations.

What’s the difference between industrial and desktop barcode printers?2026-05-27T09:48:38-06:00

Industrial printers are built for continuous duty, high-volume, and larger media — they hold up under three-shift operations and don’t burn through printheads doing it. Desktop printers are lighter use, compact, and lower volume — fine for shipping stations and offices, wrong choice for a 3PL receiving dock. We help you pick the right one based on your actual workflow, not a guess from the catalog page.
